Wow! Not many places impress me. 12 plus years in the restaurant business can do that to a person. I can see through most chain restaurants gimmicks. I base a place on 3 things. Atmosphere, quality of product and quality of service. Happy to say Starnut Gourmet delivers on All Three! Absolutely amazing food and the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The owner, Samira, was so nice and always seemed to be smiling. The staff, was able to accommodate my disability by delivering the food to my table. They asked if I needed else and made sure I was enjoying everything. This place is perfect for a breakfast or lunch date. A great place to impress someone. Pro tip: get the Pistachio Latte! The sandwich was so good, I bit my tongue 👅

I’ve been to StarNut a couple times. The last time I went, it was a almost a week after the snowstorm and the conditions were pretty icy. I picked up coffee for my coworkers and proceeded to slip on ice just outside of my car. Coffee went everywhere. I went inside fully intending to place another order, but they generously offered to remake the entire order for free. They did not need to do this and I remain very grateful. The gentleman also walked me to my car with the order. What a lovely establishment. Thank you, StarNut Gourmet!
This is the best cafe in Northern Virginia/ DMV! I sat at a table and I was able to get some work done with two delicious drinks- vanilla latte and pistachio latte! I also had crepes which were light, sweet, savory and hit the spot! The almond croissant was flaky, fluffy and yummy. Starnut has a family welcoming atmosphere. The cafe was clean. The staff were so kind, on top of things, especially Hamdi. The owners, Samira and Hozaifa are so awesome too! You can really sense that they love the people they serve and their heart is truly in their business and having a community that serve others. Great spot! Highly recommend! I can’t wait to go back!
Enjoyed the relaxed vibe and delicious food. Everything was wonderful, warm and welcoming. The Gelato looked amazing - we must return another day to try! They serve crêpes on the weekend, and they even had gluten-free options. Very impressed, and can't wait to come back. They do have a cute little café dog that was content just sitting quietly and enjoying people's company, but heads up if you are adverse to that sort of thing.
Excellent service. I ordered the Mexican Mayan and a strawberry jam crepe. My crepe had more jam then I usually like, but it was still good. The Mexican Mayan was delicious. My grandmother has been a frequent customer of StarNut for quite some time. She was the one who recommended I visit. The staff and owners have always treated her and her late husband with the utmost respect. They have consistently shown incredible kindness toward my grandmother. Thank you StarNut for the great meal and kind atmosphere.
If you're looking for a good breakfast, I highly recommend this place. It's clean, and the food is amazing.
I’ve been here 3xs now and loved it. The atmosphere is pleasant in a pastel, cafe, comfy-chair way. There aren’t a ton of tables (unless the weather is good though for outside) but we’ve always managed to find one. My favorite menu items are crepes (2 come with each order and you can mix/match them) and the amaretto latte. They have a small case of pastries (Mediterranean style) and a small case of ice cream which we haven’t tried. It’s the perfect place to meet a friend for brunch.
Much rather go here than that other place that has the beginning word Star Will not finish the word to help the add. StarNut has great coffee and bakery and soft ice cream. Their another name for it sorry. Please correct me! I come here often.
This is the only place in McLean where I was welcome with my little puppy, more than that we felt welcome and treated with respect by the waiters and owner who showed up with his little puppy inside to welcome us. Before leaving my puppy received a treat offer you can see in the images below! God bless this place the owner the waiters and everyone who is helping to run this place. That’s an example of the service and food quality Fairfax county needs! I highly recommend this place for small dogs owners. Thank you so much for the Greek salat and garden salat , was very fresh and delicious at the white private round table in the back! We will definitely come back with my daughter to show her that our puppy won’t get kicked out of the place but will be welcome.
